Holiday Money and Vacation Hours

In the Netherlands, every employee gets Vakantiegeld (“Holiday Money”). It represents 8% of your income (worked days, holidays, and public holidays) and it is paid out once a year, at the end of May/first week of June.
When you leave the company, the amount that you started to accumulate is automatically paid out to you.

Per year, you also build 25 paid vacation days on the base on a full-time employment. If you work part-time, the vacation days are added monthly pro rata.

The balance of your paid vacation hours is visible on the first page when you login to your personal account on my recolo, and on your payslips. You can take your own holiday hours by entering them online when you fill in your hours as “verlofdagen”.
